The Sound System of French

To write a book about the French sound system so as to make available in non-technical language, some insights which a linguist gains through his extensive contact with things linguistic. To explain to humanists interested in French language and literature, and perhaps the educated public as a whole, those basic phonological concepts which characterize the French language.
