A study to interpret three interrelated phenomena in 20th century American intellectual and cultural history; radicalism, conservatism, and a generational rebellion. Study will treat of the pattern of the youth revolts in 20th century American history; and the transformation of the radicalism of the 1930s into the conservatism of the 1950s. A book will be the result of this study.
