To investigate the folk medicine, the "processes" (i.e. preserving food, riving shingles, etc.) and the tools (when, where and how used) which were used in the forty or so counties that make up the Appalachian part of Kentucky. This project will provide unique opportunities to better understand the residents of teh communities and aid in teaching students of the area.
