Virginia Woolf: Study of the Relationship Between the Writer and Her Work

FAIN: FB-11772-73

Phyllis D. Rose
Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT 06459-3208)

To work on a study of Virginia Woolf's major novels, focussing on the relationship between the patterns of her fictions and the patterns of her emotional life. This kind of study, connecting Woolf's life of work, has only recently become possible, with the publication of the authoritative biography by her nephew, and the accessibility of her unpublished papers.
