To examine Marx from the viewpoint of mythos, or of the playing out of one's dramatic thinking in reality. To examine the Promethean thought of some of Marx's idealsitic predecessors, such as Lessing, Kant, Novalis, Fichte and Hegel. Marxism is one of the prominent "isms" of the 20th century and it is imperative that American students be given an understanding of it.
