An Edition of the Collected Correspondence of Robert Dodsley

For the past five years, Mr. Tierney has been preparing an edition of the correspondence of Robert Dodsley (1703-1764), London poet and playwright, and publisher. This grant will finance the annotation of the texts of the letters. The Dodsley correspondence reflects the humanistic endeavors of practically every intellectual aspect of mid-18th century England.
