To study psychology, particularly cognitive, and developmental psychology and the psychology of language. To learn about the methods and results of those psychologists who have studied the acquistion and development of belief systems and of other cognitive systems, including language. Since grammar is a branch of psychology, a serious study of psychology is an inevitable step in seeking a deeper understanding of the sort of insight grammar can yield about the mind and the foundations of knowledge.
