To do a book describing and analyzing the changes in landholding systems, the agricultural economy, and rural society in various parts of Spain from the beginning of the 16th century to the end of the 17th century Spain's economic decline in the 17th century will be examine in terms of what was happening to the rual masses (most Spaniards were herdsmen or crop growers).
