Language Variation and Bilingualism

To study the significance of one group of people using language one way and another group another way. Especially, to study this variation in connection with bilingualism as the ultimate of language variation and to deal with the question of lingusitic "deficiency." From studying how language is used within a framework of meaning, one can come to a clear understanding of the significance of language variation within particular groups of people, especially the bilingual ethnic groups.
