John C. Chalberg
Normandale Community College (Bloomingdale, MN 55431-4309)

To undertake a comparative study of the British and American responses to the problems created by the First World War, the Versailles Peace Conference, and the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia. To isolate separate British and American approaches to these problems. Result of the study will be a historiographical, speculative essay focusing on the differences and similarities in approach and attitude. One set of policymakers and one set of critics of Wilsonian diplomacy will be singled out for special attention.
