Seminar will study the New York Skyline/Form as an expression of themes, episodes in the organization of American space—'Mr. Adams will concentrate on a specific area, likely lower Manhattan, chronicling physical change with photographs, in comparison with pictorial and subjective documents. Study should reflect the physical change in a sculptural sense as evolving form, and in relation to themes of the evolving society of the city, as found in photographs, art or journalism. Study should expand the acceptance of techniques in analyzing physical space as the vocabulary of a humanistic discipline
