FAIN: FB-12512-75

Dennis A. Szilak
Northwestern Michigan College (Traverse City, MI 49686-3061)

To investigate connections between the physical sciences and discrete modes of problem-solving that have led to discoveries. The focus of the study will be the non-mathematical language in which discoveries are exhibited and theorized. Primary sources will be biographical accounts of scientists and inventors recollecting the conditions, physical and mental, that incubated discoveries.
