To study Wow interrelated problems concerned with equality and inequality. 1) What foundations in species-specific human characteristics might be found for the tendencies for inequality and authoritarianism? 2) Study will also examine the cultural materialistic position and consider the contrast between the variety of theories which have flourished within American anthropology and the materialistic social science more typical of Continent al Europe.
