To explore the concept of Critical Theory as it is being developed among certain members of the Frankfurt School of Marxist social analysis. In this respect, Critical Theory is emerging as the foundation for a renewed attempt to establish a critical social science which involves both the sphere of philosophical reflection and the ongoing attempt to either update or transcend Marx's political-economic critical theory of society. By exploring this concept of Critical Theory as it emerges from the Frankfurt School, a more comprehensive approach to social analysis can be developed, which is essential to a humanistic understanding of the world.
