To conduct a seminar discussing the question, "Can the notions of 'experience,' 'empiricism' ,and 'objectivity' survive the recent pragmatist and historicist revisions of traditional empiricist doctrines?" With reference to Kuhn's historicism, the role of the theory of reference in discussing “conceptual change" and “relativity to language”, and the historicist tradition in continental philosophy.
