To discover a new insight into modern French fiction by using the notion of game as a controlling metaphor. In order to resolve the initial problems raised by the similarities between game and/or role- playing, research into the fields of psychology, sociology, and anthropology, will be done to try to reach a workable definition of game. Hopefully work will be published in book form and an annotated bibliography on the subject of game in general.
