To develop a methodology suitable for the examination of counter culture. The specific methodology to be developed is rooted in "systems and analysis”, a technique of study used more in government and business than in the humanities. Major portion of the work will be aimed at differentiating surface cultural structures from the underlying conceptual structures. "Black Nationalism" has been chosen because of the P.I.'s interest in that subject and because of the availability of primary and secondary resources.
