The Dialectical Tracition in Europe Romanticism: Literature, Language, and Thought

To demonstrate that romanticism is characterized by a shift from the classical ideal of knowledge as classification to the romantic one of knowledge as a process, from analytic to dialectical methods of thinking. Shown through English literature the change was from Augustan to Romantic modes of thought and expression. The roots of the change lie in the collapse of classical science and birth of modern sciences.
