Sculpture of the Maya Ball Courts

To examine indigenous American, 16th century European and recent sources that include information on the art of the Maya ball courts and to describe the stylistic development and iconographical changes as they appear in areas of the Mayan diaspora. Comparison will be made of the sculptural programs found on other structures to support the assumption that the works represent Maya Art.
