FAIN: FB-12938-76

John G. Gammie
University of Tulsa (Tulsa, OK 74104-9700)

To study such works as the Oracle of the Potter, The Dream of Nectanebos, the Demotic Chronicle and the Life of Alexander. These works are of intrinsic interest to the P.I. as a historian of ideas. A secondary interest will be in tracing possible influences of Ptolemaic concepts of fate and necessity on the books of Qoheleth, Daniel, Proverbs 1-9, Sirach and the Wisdom of Solomon.
