To argue beyond the empiricist and the holistic conceptions about the structure of propositional knowledge in favor of a third conception captured in the metaphor of a series of concentric circles with fuzzy edges. PI will support this conception by considering and illuminating similarities and differences among conceptual truths, logical truths, geometric truths, arithmetic truths, scientific laws and theories, and ordinary statements of fact.
