To explore the necessity of integrating the empirical bend of the social sciences, especially political science, with the humanistic concerns of social and political philosophy and to bridge the gap between Supreme Court actions and American political thought. In written report PI will focus on one aspect such as the emergency of the philosophic ideal of equality as a ground for constitutional changes.
