To study "The Immigrant Woman" in focusing on the overall contributions of immigrant women in industrial America, and investigating the unique ethnic heritages of each group, their norms, values, beliefs, and definitions of the role of women. The basic hypothesis of the study is that women of each ethnic group behaved according to the values of their ethnic heritage, both at home and in the world of work.
