Mary Pickford became a cultural icon of the early 20th century through motion pictures. And though her life has been represented in biography and career summariezed by historians, no one has attempted to restore her film heritage. My investigation will be the first to provide vital information on Pickford holdings in moving image archives in the U.S. and Europe.
