I propose to research, transcribe, and edit all evidence of dramatic, ceremonial, and minstrel activity prior to 1642 in West Kent for publication in the Kent (Diocese of Rochester) volume in the series Records of Early English Drama (REED). I will examine borough records, monastic records, churchwardens' accounts, household accounts, and ecclesiastical and civil court records; transcribe any payments for, or descriptions of, dramatic performance; and edit these transcriptions, complete with introduction, explanatory notes, and translations, for publication in the REED series.
