A History of Darfur

FAIN: FB-52330-06

Martin William Daly
Unaffiliated Independent Scholar (Wappingers Falls, NY 12590)

The project aims to produce the first monographic history in a European language of Darfur, the troubled western region of Sudan. Based on archival sources in Sudan and Britain, and on other primary and secondary sources in a variety of fields, the book will describe the land and people of Darfur, their political history since the 17th century, and, with special emphasis on the colonial period and the years since independence, the roots of the current crisis.
