Azorean Immigrants to the United States

To examine the process of adaption of Azorean (Portuguese Islands) immigrants to the United States. The family organization of rural Azoreans will be examined and relations established with immigrants before they leave the Azores for the U.S. so that direct observations can be made of their adjustment to life in a new country.
