To bring together distinguished humanists and medical practitioners for a month of full time reading and discussion. This seminar will examine the role and responsibilities of the medical professional in the context of the several communities in which he/she operates, i.e. doctor/patient relationships, the decision-making ethos of the hospital and the claims of the society at large.
