To study the philosophical treatment of such ideas as freedom, autonomy, reationality, dignity, and respect for persons, in Immanuel Kant's Foundations of the Metaphysics of Morals, and to examine recent analyses of these and associated ideas by English and American moral theorists and philosophers of education.
