(Seminar for Public Administrators) Seminar will examine how well modern governmental institutions conform to inherited ideals and to what extent traditional political values have been reshaped in response to modern problems. The role of government in shaping American society will be considered. The special problems of federal structure and the relationship of individuals to it will be examined.
