Americans at Work: Changing Social and Cultural Practices

A seminar for labor leaders which will address the changing work experience and the relationship between it and larger social and cultural processes. Four historic work patterns shall be examined: pre-industrial, industrializing, industrial, and contemporary. Attention shall focus on workers outside and inside the labor movement and on rural as well as urban workers.
