FAIN: FR-10140-78

To study about the peculiar status, within the genre, of novels published serially, novels which, when completed, are not revised in order to produce consistency in method or meaning, but whose solution to any perceived problems of disunity or contradiction must be written into a current or forthcoming chapter. Charles Dickens’ monthly serials will be studied first, then the study will proceed to delve into the nature of meaning in relation to creole literatures. This research into Creole literatures will offer insight into the nature of meaning and literary expression.
