Spanish-American Poetry of the 20th Century: Revolutions in Form and the Forms of the Revolution

Project will consist of the following features: l) eclectic reading of theoretical texts, 2) critical study of poetic texts written in the Spanish language (with major emphasis on Spanish-American ones), both as individual entities and in their intertextual relationships (with other texts in Spanish, French, English, etc.), 3) research and study of relevant criticism, and 4) writing of a publishable paper which may be the germ for a larger project. Study will focus on some of the more important Spanish American poets of the 20th century.
