An Examination and Analyses of the Fleury Playbook of St. Benoit-sur-Loire

To examine the Fleury playbook of St. Benoit-sur-Loire. This examination would include an analysis of all the Latin texts with special attention to imagery, syntax, rhetorical figures and symbols of Latin composition. The plays were composed for the Abbey church of Fleury so a study will also be made of the physical environment in which the plays were presented. The knowledge of Fleury's architecture and the history of the abbey should offer an additional means of understanding the composition, staging, and setting of the dramas.
