This seminar will study the First Elegy of Garciiaso de la Vega, selected chapters of the Amadis De Gaula, and El Lazarillo De Tormes. Particular attention to three archetypes that dominate the literary imagination of the Renaissance: the Picaro, the Shepherd, and the Knight.
