To examine the place of fascism in European history. The seminar will consider the origins of fascism and contemporary reaction to it. The development of fascism will he analyzed. Other more or less fascist movements (besides the Italian-German types) will he examined. Efforts will he made to draw comparisons, especially between the German and Italian movements. The seminar will also question whether fascism came to a halt in 1945.
