A seminar devoted to study of the influence of religious ideas on American political life and institutions. The seminar will be concerned with important political religious movements of the 17th and 18th centuries with the writings of significant American religious and political thinkers of that time period, and with the fate of the ideas crystallize in the late 18th century during subsequent American history.
