To study the use of the most important Greek "value terms" in the context of particular works (literature, history and philosophy) and in the broader context of a hypothesis concerning the relationship of Greek values to Greek society Method employed will enable Greekless readers to participate. Texts will include works of Aeschylus, Sophocles, and Euripides, Thucydidean speeches and early dialogues of Plato.
