Seminar will explore the ways individuals defined and presented themselves during the shift in world-view from medieval to modern (16th century) Texts by More, Wyatt, Sidney, Raleigh, Spenser, Marlowe and Shakespeare will be supplemented with letters, behavior manuals, religious guides, etc. to show the interaction of art and social life within the culture.
