A six-week seminar for fifteen college and university teachers on Anglo-Saxon hagiographic writings and related issues, to be held in Cambridge, England.

The Richard Rawlinson Center for Anglo-Saxon Studies and Manuscript Research at the Medieval Institute, Western Michigan Univ., working with the Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic at the Univ. of Cambridge, the Parker Library (Corpus Christi College), and collateral units of the Univ. of Cambridge, proposes a Summer Seminar for College and University Teachers on "Holy Men and Holy Women of Anglo-Saxon England" to be held at Cambridge, July 3-August 11, 2006. Paul E. Szarmach will direct the seminar. The seminar will consider special issues that have arisen in the resurgent interest in the study of one of the major parts of the largest corpus of prose literature in the early Middle Ages.
