Collection of essays by black authors to clarify the ethical issues in violent/non-violent action. Fellow to collect essays by black authors on the question of violence/nonviolence and to clarify the ethical issues which are at stake. Focus on use of violence by black minority in U.S. A study of the ethics of violence may help blacks analysze their own reasons for whatever course of action they choose, and help whites come to grips with the implicit justification for violence in their own history.
