FAIN: FT-10878-70

James A. Gross
Cornell University (Ithaca, NY 14850-2820)

Fellow to microfilm a collection of source materials on the black worker which have been deposited in the National Archives by various agencies of the federal government. Material to be available for use as teaching and research materials. Documents include correspondence, internal memoranda, field reports, case records, minutes of meetings. Records concern the Negro as an unorganized worker--his problems, his institutions, his attitudes, his working and living conditions. Critical need for teaching and research materials in this area. Will be used by fellow in fall seminar on the history of the black worker and in monographs on relations between federal agencies and the black worker.
