The Concept of Human Dignity

FAIN: FT-11488-73

Michael S. Pritchard
Western Michigan University (Kalamazoo, MI 49008-5200)

To make a comparative examination of the attitudes and feelings of people who have a sense of dignity (most of us) and those who do not (the "social psycopath") described by psychiatrists as lacking moral sentiments. It is hoped that such an examination will show that understanding ourselves and others in terms of dignity is a fundamental feature of understanding ourselves as persons.
