To investigate the relationship and interdependence of the arts within society and the problem of conflict or synthesis resulting from the confrontation between difficult culture. These are being examined through the specific example of the ancient Roman theatre as one may learn about it by analyzing the wall paintings preserved at Pompei and Herculaneum.
