To investigate the various theories and techniques in the pictorial arts of the Renaissance and the Baroque. It will entail a thorough study of statements of the contemporary artists and theorists as well as of the numerous modern books and articles on the topic. The purpose of this research will be to acquire the knowledge necessary to determine the influence of pictorial art theories on the visual structure of Spanish Golden Age drama.
