To examine the iconographic traditions of the ethnic and religious groups of northeastern Pennsylvania. This region is diverse in its peoples and national religious groupings.. The project will study catalog, and photograph the icon collections. The project will contribute to a fuller appreciation of the artistic interplay between European tradition and American-ethnic folk art in the field of iconograph.
