To study the art and life of Dorothy Wordsworth (1771-1855) after 1820 with a view towards writing a new biography of her. To reread the MSS of her works of this period (Journal of a Tour on the Continent, Journal of My Second Tour in Scotland, and Journals of 1824-35) and read her unpublished letters, and read the unpublished materials that pertain to her by her brother, William Wordsworth, her family, and her friends.
