Narrative Art of William Faulkner

FAIN: FT-12408-75

John J. Hinchey
Swarthmore College (Swarthmore, PA 19081-1390)

To complete a study of the narrative art of William Faulkner, with emphasis on the way narrative art is rooted in and controlled by Faulkner's sense of history. This study is an important one because Faulkner's work can be seen as exemplary masterwork which illuminates a major tradition in our literature for which a dialectical sense of history is central and vital.
