To examine the failure of American radicalism and the causes for this failure. P.I. will examine this question by focusing on one young radical communist, Benjamin Gitlow, who helped to organize the Communist Labor Party in the U.S., but who later made a career out of attacking radicalism and testifying for the Government against former communists.
