To do a biographical study of Thomas de Vio, Cardinal Cajetan (1469- 1534), a central figure in Renaissance-Reformation Europe. Cajetan combined the intellectual and activist. He was a publishing scholar all his life, a philosopher and theologian of unique eminence. He was engaged in many activities central to his time--a time which historians conventionally mark off the medieval from the modern world.
